Giving your affiliates the power to control the destination of their links is like giving yourself a present – MONEY.
We all know that customers don’t like to click too much, so the easiest way for your affiliates to drive sales is to push specific products and send their traffic to customized affiliate landing pages.
And when your affiliates make money, so do you.
But did you know that you can allow your affiliates to control which page their default link points to by using a feature we call the “u-parameter.”
The u parameter looks like this:
&u=www.XXXXX.com
In this parameter, “XXXXX.com” is the URL of the new destination.
Your affiliates can add this parameter to the end of any default affiliate URL to manually override the destination of the link.
For example, if I wanted to direct you to Google rather than to my home page, I would add the u parameter, &u=www.google.com, to the end of the link.
So then – http://www.1automationwiz.com/app/?pr=29id=10561
– becomes –
http://www.1automationwiz.com/app/?pr=29&id=10561&u=www.google.com
It’s that simple!
If you would like to maintain control of your affiliate link destinations, you can now set up as many different links and banners as you would like from within your 1AutomationWiz Shopping Cart account.
Just go to the Affiliates Manage Media screen.
There you can point each individual media piece that you create to whatever destination you would like.
(Note that each piece of media is limited to a SINGLE (1) destination, and the u-parameter will not work with them.)
Your affiliates have access to all created media from within their log in area.
But remember, the “u-parameter” does not work for media, only for the default affiliate link.
Your affiliates will thank you for giving them the power to send traffic where it will make the most sense–and the most money.
